David Jacobson was
diagnosed with a severe form of arthritis at 22
in 1980. Since then, he has become a living example that you
can accomplish anything if you truly believe in yourself.

His many honors include a "President's Award" from FlashNet Marketing, Inc. , A "National Hero Overcoming Arthritis" award by the Arthritis Foundation National Office and the 1997 Wayne Washburn Memorial Award which reads as follows "We all need someone or something to inspire us to bring out our best. You are that someone"
He is a former instructor in the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona and is currently Manager of the Social Work Dept. at University Medical Center and a Professional Speaker and Author.

David is a licensed therapist and crisis interventionist with years of
experience working at a Level One Trauma Center that deals with
traumatic injuries and deaths on a regular basis.

David was honored for his volunteer work and is a regular speaker for
the Foundation traveling across the country to give inspirational
messages to children and young adults with arthritis

Mr. Jacobson rose from sales representative to one the companies top
executives known as "The Eagle Team." Only five people in this company
of thousands reached the level of Executive National Director of Sales,
David was one of them.
1998 - National Hero Overcoming Arthritis: "For outstanding courage and inspiration in meeting the challenges of arthritis." The National Arthritis Foundation flew David to their headquarters in Atlanta, GA to recieve this honor and speak alongside Ambassador Andrew Young. David received a Standing Ovation after his emotional and inspiration address.
| David is a former athlete who attributes use of humor to his conquering of severe arthritis. He is an inspirational expert in humor and health. David has been successful at healing illness and overcoming obstacles on a personal level. David understands stress management through personal experience. David's keynotes focus on using humor in many areas of experience, particularly humor and health, and overcoming adversity, but also using humor to improve self-image & relationships. His expertise includes humor and stress reduction, as well as humor and communication. He is a recognized leader in the field of humor and health and was selected by an international panel to appear in a documentary on the healing uses of humor by the Korean Broadcasting System. David has spoken along side such noted colleagues as Bernie Siegal, MD, Actor Kevin Pollack, Former ambassador Andrew Young and Football legend Joe Namath. |
